PIONEERS IN THE FIELD OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY LAW

LB3 was one of the first law firms to enter the highly complex area of information and communications technology law. As technology advances and diversifies, our firm remains at the forefront of its field-evolving negotiation strategies and contract structures that help our clients find the right solutions to their most difficult challenges.  We were involved in the earliest custom enterprise telecommunications contracts and multi-tower IT outsourcings and have represented many of the most demanding enterprise customers in support of their IT and network infrastructure outsourcing, managed services, and other complex technology transactions. LB3 was also among the first firms to represent the large user community in negotiations for commercially offered wireless technologies and IoT solutions.

IT PAYS TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN YOUR CORNER

LB3’s lawyers are uniquely qualified to handle our clients’ most complex transactions and regulatory challenges.  With experience spanning the wide spectrum of information and communication technologies, managed services, outsourcing and cloud computing, we are well equipped to assist our clients in successfully negotiating and closing sophisticated transactions, including new technologies and service arrangements of first impression.

Additionally, our work before the FCC has given us a strong understanding of the changing regulatory environment-including telecommunications taxes and fees-and the best ways to protect and advance the interests of enterprise customers and technology companies before the agency.

THE BUYER'S POINT OF VIEW IS OUR ONLY POINT OF VIEW

LB3 is dedicated to advising purchasers of information and communications technology services.  Because we work exclusively on the buyer’s side of IT and telecommunications transactions, we represent our clients free from any divided loyalties or conflicts of interests. Our pure end-user representation ensures that we always approach the market in general, and our clients’ negotiations in particular, from the perspective of the end user, not the provider.

WE GET THAT NO ONE LIKES TO GET SOAKED

At LB3, we staff our projects efficiently with experienced lawyers who provide our clients cost-effective solutions to their complex problems.  We also take a flexible approach to legal fees, offering both traditional and innovative fee structures designed to meet the individual needs and demands of our clients.

YOU NEED A GUIDE WHO KNOWS THE WAY

With decades of experience representing some of the most sophisticated purchasers of corporate telecommunications and IT service, we not only know the law, we understand our clients’ business and technology needs.  As a result, we are able to help advance our clients’ business objectives, protect their legal interests and preserve the value of their negotiated deals.

OUR VALUE DOESN'T END AT THE CONTRACT'S EDGE

TC2 is a global IT and networking consultancy dedicated to helping our clients develop and execute technology transformation and sourcing strategies.  For our large enterprise clients, we maximize savings, performance and future capability in telecommunications services and network infrastructure through a full range of strategic sourcing, benchmarking, optimization, audit, and technology consulting.

SASE or SSE? Don’t let hype distract from enterprise needs.

Not every vendor can deliver full secure access service edge (“SASE”) service, and that’s OK. Not every enterprise wants, needs, or can implement it. The SASE model combines network security functions with WAN capabilities, delivering the security elements in the cloud and using SD-WAN at the edge or in the cloud. Key […]

    The TDM Pain is Real

Back in 2020, TC2’s Jack Deal and Mark Sheard published an article and recorded a podcast entitled “TDM: It’s Time to Decommission and Move” warning of the risks associated with failing to plan the move away from legacy time division multiplexing (TDM) service.  Companies that failed to heed their advice […]

The Demise of Legacy Sprint Wireline Services

Almost everyone knows that T-Mobile acquired Sprint last year, and many industry pundits (including we on Staying Connected) have pontificated on what this means for the U.S. wireless industry.  Notably, as part of that acquisition, T-Mobile also acquired Sprint’s wireline business, once a go-to service for many enterprises. Tap the Untapped Gold Mine in Your Vendor Accounts

When you work with ICT billing, you deal with credits paid for events like circuit disconnects or to resolve a billing error.  This sounds like guaranteed money in the bank … but it’s not. In this 8-minute podcast, TC2 Directors Julie Gardner and Theresa Knutson talk with Joe Schmidt and […]

Managing IT Contracts Through a Divestiture

When an enterprise divests a business unit, much work is needed to ensure that vendor IT contracts will appropriately support the divestiture.  This can be a difficult process because vendors don’t normally let their customers just copy and paste a contract into a brand new “carbon copy” for the divested […]

How to Benefit from Custom Payment Terms in Your ICT Contract

Payment terms have become a major focus for large enterprises when negotiating ICT contracts.  Fewer companies are accepting the historic standard “due within 30 days of invoice date” and are instead negotiating payment terms ranging from 60 to 90 days. Listen to this 9-minute podcast as TC2 Directors Theresa Knutson, […]
