  Disputes-Workouts & Litigation

With the turbulent telecommunications market and the resulting financial instability of many carriers, we increasingly represent customers dealing with carriers in distress. LB3 was counsel to the WorldCom Enterprise Customer Committee, composed of 20 major WorldCom customers, in the WorldCom bankruptcy. We worked actively with MCI and the bankruptcy court to protect the interests of such customers and to prevent the disruption of their operations.

We assist clients negotiating new agreements with troubled carriers in finding ways to manage risk on a going-forward basis, and counsel financially-distressed clients whose needs for telecommunications services have declined and who face potential contract shortfalls as a result of such declines.
